Tourism infrastructure development discussed at the X Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus

The Forum's business program focuses on the future development of cooperation between Russia and Belarus, including the development of new tourist destinations.

The participants of the section on cooperation between states in the field of tourism discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of ecological, cultural, historical, patriotic and medical tourism.

General Director of the Tourism Corporation.Russian Federation Sergey Sukhanov told the forum participants about existing measures to support investment projects for the development of tourism infrastructure: "The Russian government has formed a comprehensive support mechanism for the industry, which is focused through the Tourism Corporation.Russian Federation: we help investors with money – we are part of the authorized capital of joint companies and build tourist facilities together, the Ministry of Construction of Russia and the regions provide them with energy, water, roads and other necessary infrastructure, and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia provides an opportunity to receive preferential loan financing."

Sergey Sukhanov thanked the Federation Council for supporting all the initiatives of the Tourism Corporation.Russian Federation and assistance in achieving the priority goal – creating the necessary conditions for an affordable and comfortable holiday in Russia.

"Our main task is to create a modern tourist infrastructure in Russia together with private businesses. We see that the interest of tourists from fraternal Belarus in visiting our country does not weaken, on the contrary, it is growing every year. We will be glad to welcome Belarusian tourists to our new year-round resorts in the near future, " Sergey Sukhanov commented.
