Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko: "Today Dagestan is a dynamically developing region on the map of Russia. The republic has a huge tourist potential: over 100 lakes, 6,000 rivers, more than 200 sunny days a year, unique natural monuments and a unique national flavor. All this attracts travelers from different countries. In 2021, the tourist flow to Dagestan increased by 30%, exceeding 1 million people, which is a third of the total population of the Republic. This year, the level is expected to be higher than last year. It is gratifying that new tourist attractions are being created here.
