Tourism Corporation.Russia and the Kaliningrad Region have approved a roadmap for the implementation of the Russian Baltic Integrated Investment Project
General Director of JSC " Corporation Tourism.Russian Federation" Sergey Sukhanov and Kaliningrad Region Governor Anton Alikhanov discussed the implementation of the Russian Baltic Integrated Investment Project.
The territory of the future resort is located in the Zelenogradsky district, 60 km from Kaliningrad. The total area of the land plots considered for master planning and further implementation of the project is 125.6 hectares, on which it is planned to build hotel facilities with a number of 3000 rooms. It is estimated that due to the development of tourist infrastructure, by 2035 the number of tourists to the resort "Russian Baltic", taking into account the excursion flow, will be 2 million people annually. The development of the multifunctional resort "Russkaya Baltika" is implemented within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry".
Anton Alikhanov noted that "Russian Baltic" is an important project for the development of the region's tourism potential. "Between the Kaliningrad Region and the Tourism Corporation. The Russian Federation has signed an agreement on cooperation, within the framework of which a roadmap for the implementation of the investment project has been prepared. We are finishing work on freeing land plots from lease rights of third parties and are starting work on making changes to the general plan of the district. I am sure that our cooperation with the corporation will give a new impetus to the implementation of new investment projects aimed at developing the tourism industry in the Kaliningrad region, creating a comfortable and high - quality tourist infrastructure and, of course, attracting more guests to our region," said Anton Alikhanov.
"The development of the Russian Baltic tourist area is being implemented within the framework of the Five Seas Federal Resorts project. The Russian President instructed to create federal year-round seaside resorts that will ensure the tourist flow of at least 10 million people a year by 2035. Russkaya Baltika meets all the requirements of a seaside resort and will attract tourists due to its location on the Baltic Sea coast, wide and long beach line, natural thermal springs and proximity to unique historical and cultural sites and attractions of the Kaliningrad region, " said Sergey Sukhanov.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko spoke about the creation of federal resorts on the Baltic, Azov, Black, Caspian and Japanese Seas, as well as the implementation of investment projects on Lake Baikal. Russkaya Baltika in the Kaliningrad Region can become one of these priority seaside resorts.
Following the working meeting, an integrated action plan (roadmap) for the implementation of the Russian Baltic investment project was signed. For the integrated development of the future resort, all measures to support the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry" developed by the Government are being considered. Based on the results of the development of the master plan of the Russian Baltika resort in 2024, investment lots will be formed for investors interested in developing a new tourist territory in the Kaliningrad region.
