Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation Yuri Gordeev held working meetings in St. Petersburg on the implementation of tourist facilities.
Together with the General Director of the Tourism Corporation.Sergey Sukhanov discussed the implementation of the federal project "Development of tourist infrastructure", preparation of master plans, progress in the construction of supporting infrastructure, as well as the use of modern materials and innovative technologies in the construction of tourist infrastructure facilities.
In the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, the documents were signed by the General Director of the Corporation "Tourism.Russian Federation" Sergey Sukhanov, Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko, Head of the Republic of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov, Acting Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov and Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha.
The head of the region spoke about the investment potential and tourist routes of Kalmykia. He noted that event-based and ecological types of tourism are gaining popularity in the region. The Republic is interested in actively developing the tourist infrastructure in order to further increase the tourist flow.
